Halloween has always been my favorite excuse to get messy in the kitchen. Shaym here from SoolFood, and I still remember the first year I tried to make peanut butter cups from scratch. I thought, “How hard can it be?” Well… the chocolate seized, I spilled powdered sugar everywhere, and my “cute mummies” looked like melted snowmen. But I kept at it. Now? Halloween Peanut Butter Cups are a yearly tradition, and they come out spooktacular every time.
What makes these peanut butter cups better than anything store-bought? Two things: a creamy, salty filling that doesn’t skimp on flavor, and a thick chocolate shell that cracks just right when you bite into it. Add a little Halloween flair : candy eyes, orange sprinkles, or even red jam for a spooky surprise, and you’ve got a dessert that’s creepy, cute, and utterly crave-worthy.
The best part? You don’t need fancy molds or special tools. A mini muffin tin and some liners are all you need. I love that they’re no-bake and chill quickly, so even last-minute treat-makers can pull this off. They also pair beautifully with Halloween Brownies for a wicked dessert tray, or you can add them to your Easy Halloween Party Treats spread to really wow your guests.
You can keep it classic, or take it up a notch. Want extra crunch? Stir in crushed pretzels. Want more protein? Try a tablespoon of your favorite powder or take inspo from our High-Protein Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars. Either way, they’ll be gone before the trick-or-treaters even show up.
