Description
This air fryer cod recipe is the perfect quick dinner—crispy outside, tender inside, and packed with flavor. It’s healthy, easy, and done in under 15 minutes.
Ingredients
2 cod fillets (about 1 inch thick)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp lemon zest
1 tbsp olive oil or spray
Optional: cayenne pepper, fresh lemon wedges
Instructions
1. Pat cod fillets dry with paper towels.
2. Mix spices in a bowl: garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, lemon zest.
3. Brush or spray cod with oil. Rub seasoning mix evenly over both sides.
4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes.
5. Place cod in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overlap.
6. Air fry at 400°F for 10–12 minutes. No need to flip unless preferred.
7. Check doneness: fish should flake easily with a fork.
8. Serve immediately with lemon wedges or favorite sides.
Notes
Use parchment paper or a silicone liner to prevent sticking.
Thicker cod fillets may need 1–2 more minutes of cooking.
Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in air fryer for 3–4 minutes.
