Description

A hearty one-pan meal featuring tender steak, fluffy rice, and smoky Cajun seasoning. This Cajun Seasoned Steak Fried Rice is perfect for weeknights, quick, flavorful, and comforting.

Ingredients

1 lb sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced

2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

3 cups cooked and cooled rice

2 tbsp vegetable oil

1 tbsp butter

1 small onion, diced

1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, bell peppers)

2 eggs, lightly beaten

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp sesame oil (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Green onions for garnish

Instructions

1. Season the sliced steak with Cajun seasoning.

2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 2–3 minutes. Remove and set aside.

3. Scramble the eggs in the same pan until just set. Remove and reserve.

4. Add butter and onion to the skillet; sauté for 3 minutes. Stir in mixed vegetables and cook until tender.

5. Add the rice and stir-fry for several minutes, letting it crisp slightly.

6. Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil, then return the steak and eggs to the pan.

7. Mix everything evenly and cook for 1–2 minutes until heated through.

8. Serve hot, garnished with green onions.

Notes

Use day-old rice for best texture.

Adjust Cajun spice to taste, start mild and build heat gradually.

This recipe works well with leftover steak or chicken.

Pair with a simple salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
