Description

Juicy Cajun steak and shrimp surf & turf cooked in one skillet with garlic butter and lemon for a rich, spicy Southern-style dinner.


Ingredients

2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (1 lb each)

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp Cajun seasoning

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp smoked paprika

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tbsp butter

1 tsp Cajun seasoning

1 clove garlic, minced

Juice of ½ lemon

3 tbsp butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp lemon zest

1 tbsp parsley, chopped


Instructions

1. Rub steaks with olive oil and season with Cajun mix.

2. Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side; set aside to rest.

3. In the same skillet, cook shrimp with butter, garlic, and Cajun seasoning.

4. Add lemon juice; remove shrimp.

5. Melt butter, add garlic, lemon zest, parsley; return steak and shrimp.

6. Spoon sauce over top and serve immediately.

Notes

Use cast iron for best sear and flavor.

Rest steak before slicing.

Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or salad.
