Description

A simple and flavorful one-pan meal featuring tender steak, colorful bell peppers, and smoky Cajun seasoning. This Cajun Steak & Peppers Skillet is perfect for quick weeknight dinners with bold, satisfying flavor.

Ingredients

1 lb sirloin, ribeye, or flank steak, thinly sliced

2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 yellow bell pepper, sliced

1 small onion, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish

Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread

Instructions

1. Slice steak thinly across the grain and toss with Cajun seasoning.

2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 2–3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

3. Add butter to the skillet, then sauté bell peppers and onion for about 5 minutes until tender.

4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.

5. Return the steak to the skillet and add soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce. Stir well and cook for another 2–3 minutes to combine flavors.

6. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.

7. Serve hot, garnished with parsley or green onions.

Notes

Use fresh, brightly colored bell peppers for the best flavor.

For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne or crushed red pepper flakes.

This recipe pairs wonderfully with rice, potatoes, or stuffed in tortillas.

Leftovers reheat well for lunch the next day.
