Description

A bold and satisfying sandwich featuring Cajun-seasoned steak, sautéed peppers, and creamy spicy mayo layered on toasted bread.

Ingredients

1 lb flank steak or ribeye

1 tbsp Cajun seasoning

Salt and black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1/2 red onion, sliced

2 sandwich rolls or slices of homemade sandwich bread

Handful of lettuce or arugula

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 tbsp hot sauce

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

1. Rub steak with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

2. Heat oil in a skillet and sear steak for 3–4 minutes per side. Let rest.

3. Sauté bell pepper and onion in the same pan until soft and caramelized.

4. In a small bowl, mix mayo, hot sauce, mustard, and garlic powder to make spicy mayo.

5. Toast sandwich bread lightly.

6. Spread spicy mayo on both bread halves.

7. Layer with lettuce, peppers, onions, and sliced steak.

8. Top with extra mayo if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

Letting the steak rest before slicing keeps it juicy.

Use homemade sandwich bread for best results.

Pair with air fryer French fries or carrots for a simple, tasty side.
