Description

A comforting casserole made with ground beef, cheddar, sour cream, and crispy hashbrowns, ready in one pan.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 tsp onion powder

Salt & pepper to taste

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup sour cream

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

1/4 cup milk

3 cups frozen hashbrowns, thawed

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion powder, salt, and pepper until browned. Drain excess grease.

3. In a large bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, 1.5 cups cheddar, milk, garlic powder, and thawed hashbrowns.

4. Stir in cooked beef. Mix well.

5. Spread mixture into a greased 9×13” baking dish.

6. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cheddar on top.

7. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

Notes

Add chopped green onions or diced bell peppers for a veggie boost.

Want more crunch? Top with crushed cornflakes or crispy fried onions before baking.

This casserole can be assembled ahead and stored in the fridge, then baked when ready.
