Description
Soft, buttery heart-shaped cookies dipped in smooth melted chocolate and decorated for Valentine’s Day.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
8 oz dark or milk chocolate, chopped
Valentine sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment.
2. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
3. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
4. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together.
5. Add dry mixture gradually to butter mixture to form dough.
6. Chill for 30 minutes.
7. Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness and cut into heart shapes.
8. Bake 8–10 minutes or until edges are golden.
9. Cool completely.
10. Melt chocolate and dip half of each cookie; add sprinkles before chocolate sets.
Notes
Use high-quality melting chocolate for a smooth finish.
Tint white chocolate pink for a Valentine twist.
