Description

Creamy Parmesan Chicken with Garlic Butter Sauce is a comforting one-pan dinner featuring golden seared chicken simmered in a rich, velvety garlic butter cream sauce.


Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons butter (divided)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup chicken broth

3/4 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Optional: crushed red pepper flakes or baby spinach


Instructions

1. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons butter. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.

4. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Simmer for 2 minutes.

5. Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream. Whisk in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.

6. Return chicken to the pan, spooning sauce over the top. Simmer 2–3 minutes until warmed through and coated.

7. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately with your favorite side.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine to the sauce before adding the cream.

Substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce.

Add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for variety.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days; reheat gently to preserve the sauce texture.
