Description

Elegant bite-sized mushrooms stuffed with creamy blue cheese and sweet figs,  an easy, gourmet appetizer for parties or cozy nights.


Ingredients

16 large button or cremini mushrooms

2 oz blue cheese

2 oz cream cheese, softened

3 dried figs, finely chopped

1 small garlic clove, minced

1 tsp fresh thyme leaves

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp honey (optional)


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheet with parchment.

2. Clean mushrooms and remove stems.

3. Mix blue cheese, cream cheese, chopped figs, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper.

4. Stuff each mushroom with the filling and arrange on baking sheet.

5. Drizzle lightly with olive oil.

6. Bake 15–18 minutes, until golden and bubbly.

7. Drizzle with honey and garnish with herbs before serving.

Notes

Use goat cheese or feta for a milder flavor.

Add toasted breadcrumbs for crunch.

Assemble ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake.
