Description

Soft, buttery heart-shaped sugar cookies topped with a vibrant strawberry glaze made from real berries. Perfect for Valentine’s Day or any sweet occasion.

Ingredients

**Sugar Cookie Dough**

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

3/4 cup powdered sugar

1 cup unsalted butter (softened)

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp almond extract

1/4 tsp salt

**Strawberry Glaze**

1/2 cup freeze-dried strawberries or 1/4 cup fresh puréed

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

12 tbsp milk or lemon juice (for thinning)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.

2. In a large bowl, beat butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.

3. Mix in egg, vanilla, and almond extract.

4. In another bowl, whisk together flour and salt.

5. Slowly add dry to wet and mix until a soft dough forms.

6. Roll dough 1/4-inch thick on a floured surface.

7. Cut out heart shapes and place on baking sheet.

8. Bake 8–10 minutes until edges are barely golden.

9. Let cookies cool completely on a wire rack.

10. For glaze: blend strawberries into powder, then mix with sugar and milk/lemon.

11. Dip or drizzle cookies, then let glaze set completely.

Notes

No chill dough, easy and fast!

Use beet juice or gel color for deeper pink glaze.

Store in airtight container up to 5 days or freeze unglazed.

Great for gifting, brunch boards, or Valentine’s treats.
