Description
Soft and chewy red velvet cookies with melty cream cheese chips, a beautiful Valentine’s treat full of cocoa and love.
Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp red gel food coloring
3/4 cup cream cheese chips (or white chocolate chips)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment.
2. Beat butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
3. Add egg, vanilla, and red food coloring; mix well.
4. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet until combined.
6. Fold in cream cheese chips.
7. Scoop dough balls onto sheet and bake 8–10 minutes until edges are set.
8. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to rack.
Notes
Use gel food coloring for vibrant red.
Replace cream cheese chips with white chocolate if unavailable.
Add a drizzle of cream cheese frosting for extra sweetness.
