Description
Skillet Cranberry Orange Chicken, juicy seared chicken in a sweet-tart cranberry orange glaze with thyme and citrus.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
½ cup orange juice
2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp orange zest
1 garlic clove, minced
½ tsp thyme
Orange slices and thyme for garnish
Instructions
1. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat oil and butter in skillet; sear 5–6 minutes per side until golden.
2. Remove chicken; add orange juice, cranberries, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, zest, garlic, and thyme.
3. Simmer 8–10 minutes until cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
4. Return chicken to skillet; spoon sauce over top and cook 3–5 more minutes.
5. Serve with orange slices and a drizzle of glaze.
Notes
Use fresh cranberries for the best flavor and color.
Substitute maple syrup for a deeper sweetness.
Pairs beautifully with rice or roasted vegetables.
