Description

Juicy, spicy jalapeño smashburger melt with melty cheese and buttery brioche buns.


Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20)

2 fresh jalapeños, thinly sliced

4 slices American or Pepper Jack cheese

1 small onion, thinly sliced

4 brioche buns, buttered and toasted

½ cup mayonnaise

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tsp hot sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp butter for toasting


Instructions

1. Mix mayo, garlic, and hot sauce to make garlic mayo.

2. Form 3-ounce loose beef balls and season with salt and pepper.

3. Preheat griddle or skillet on medium-high until hot.

4. Place beef balls on surface and smash flat for 10 seconds.

5. Top with sliced jalapeños and onions, then cook until edges crisp.

6. Flip patties, add cheese, and cover to melt.

7. Toast buns with butter until golden.

8. Spread garlic mayo, add patties, and assemble your burgers.

Notes

For milder flavor, remove jalapeño seeds.

Use Pepper Jack cheese for extra spice.

Reheat patties on a hot skillet for best texture.
