Description

These lobster stuffed puff squares are buttery, crisp, and loaded with garlic-herb lobster. Elegant, easy, and perfect for parties or date night.


Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

1 cup cooked lobster meat, chopped

2 tbsp butter

1 small shallot, finely chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

Zest + juice of 1/2 lemon

2 tbsp cream cheese

1 tbsp chopped chives

1 tbsp chopped parsley

Salt + pepper to taste

1 egg (for egg wash)


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment.

2. In a pan, melt butter and sauté shallot + garlic until soft.

3. Stir in lobster, lemon juice + zest, cream cheese, herbs, salt + pepper. Mix until creamy.

4. Roll out puff pastry and cut into 8 squares.

5. Spoon filling onto 4 squares, then top with the other 4. Seal edges and crimp with a fork.

6. Brush tops with egg wash.

7. Bake for 15–20 minutes until puffed and golden.

8. Cool slightly before serving with lemon wedges.

Notes

Use crab or shrimp instead of lobster.

Freeze unbaked squares for up to 1 month.

Add smoked paprika or Old Bay for seasoning twist.
