Description
Crispy Thai basil beef rolls baked golden and filled with spicy, herby beef. No deep fryer needed, just flavor-packed, party-ready bites.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 shallot, minced
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp fish sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1–2 red chilis or 1 tsp sriracha
1 cup Thai basil leaves, chopped
12 spring roll wrappers
Olive oil spray or egg wash
Sweet chili sauce or spicy mayo (for serving)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet.
2. Sauté garlic and shallots in oil until fragrant.
3. Add beef and cook until browned.
4. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, and chili. Simmer until reduced slightly.
5. Fold in Thai basil and cook just until wilted. Let filling cool slightly.
6. Place spring roll wrappers on a flat surface. Add spoonful of filling.
7. Roll tightly, sealing with water or egg wash.
8. Place on baking sheet. Spray with oil or brush with egg wash.
9. Bake 15–18 minutes until golden and crisp.
10. Serve hot with dipping sauce of choice.
Notes
Freeze unbaked rolls for easy future meals.
Sub ground chicken or tofu for a different protein.
Control heat with more or less chili.
Air fry at 375°F for 10–12 minutes for extra crisp.
